Music Ranch is a bed & breakfast and music lesson establishment
owned and operated by Ruth & John Bruins. The Bruins Family
originally lived in Switzerland moving to Canada in September
of 2000 to open their own private company. They bring the following
list of impressive credentials to their unique and successful

Ruth Bruins
Ruth was born in Biel/Bienne (Switzerland)
- Studied
at the Music Academies of Winterthur and Biel/Bienne (Switzerland)
- Masterclasses for
Flute with André Jaunet and Rene Le Roy.
- Flute, Recorder
and Guitar Teacher for many years in Switzerland.
- Conducted Ladies'
Choirs and Mixed Choirs
- Since 2001 co-owner
of the Music Ranch, Stony Plain

John Bruins
John was born in Amsterdam (The Netherlands)
- Studied at
the Music School in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Music Academy
of Biel/Bienne and Swiss Music Pedagogic Association (Switzerland)
- Music Teacher
for many years in Ipsach (Switzerland)
- Vocal Teacher
(Private and in the Bach Choir of Berne, Switzerland)
- Choral Conductor
of several Ladies', Men's, Mixed and Children's/Youth Choirs.
- President
of the Music Committee of Choral Federation SAS in Switzerland
and member of the Music Board of the IDOCO (Internationale
des Organisations culturelles Ouvrières) a European
Choral Federation.
- Adjudicator
in Choral Festivals.
- Invited guest
on many Choral events all over Europe.
